Hello. I am currently stuck at the goblin tunnels. I’ve killed the grave lord and the ray king. I have cleared the torture chambers and have maxed out defense, melee, range and I deal 16-20 dmg/13-21 dmg. I’m tier 2 lvl 24, but I can’t kill any more bosses or proceed further in the goblin tunnels. What should I do? It takes waaaay too long to collect all the neo runes, and I can’t even land a hit on the remaining bosses.
(Btw my armor class is 18, I use the sword of the grave which stuns and I have the sword of the vampire)

I've used the scimitar of the vampire, as it provides a nice revitalization effect. You may think of increasing Strength as well, unless you've done it already. AFAIK, the Melee ensures you can place a hit, but the Strength ensures that the hit is successful, i.e. delivers damage.
Also, I've progressed there using the Firebolt II spell, it works pretty well on the magicians which use the same ranged magic.
The only trick was that you cannot employ slash'em tactic, and have to use a hit-and-run strategy.

At early stages of crawling I relied solely on the melee skills with occasional use of ranged weapons.
At some point I was forced to switch to magic in c.80% of battles as my weapons and skills did not allow to progress via pure slash'em'all. I reckon this first happenned with goblin wizards, and continued in the dragon cave and the castle.
But as I've progressed beyond the castle, I've got myself a nice weapons and armor and lvl40, and eveything became simpler. Once you master higher magic, you can wear 2-3 protective spells as permanent boosters (they require renewals as time passes by), and slash'em'all returned )))
I've even managed to slash through the dragon cave easiliy several times.
There is one opponent (besides the Eveil Dad himself) who I hasn't found a way to get rid of by using melee weapons. They are too strong even for a boosted beefed up crawler.

Ok, so I should use the vampire blade instead of the grave lord blade? I’ll try that out! But how can I get all the neo runes I need? Should I go to the fairy forest?

Update: I followed your advice about using the vampire blade, and it worked! I didn’t know it also granted healing! I cleared the rat den, and killed three fairy mistresses. I also finally got to the outside! Everything is going so great, thx for the advice
