Stuck after finishing wizard tower

So I finished the wizard tower and got Mom back home. I went to the tower to tell the wizard I got rid of her and he redid his initial dialogue. I went to the top and mom was gone. I went back to Castle dark to tell them that I did, and the advisor started the initial conversation and gave me the quest again. She was still not at the top of the tower.

Part 2:
So I decided to find the dwarf and move on, and went through all of the castle- no dwarf. I went back through the entire mine; no dwarf. Went through the dragon lair at the bottom - I had killed the dragon to get the recipe earlier - and no dwarf there either. Could really use some advice on what to do or wether I have to start over?

Sorry for the confusion.
After mom is gone go see dad again. That will end the quest and the game.

I will fix the quest in Castle Dark asap.

Oh- it said to find the dwarf, so I got confused lol

The game is really fun - I liked it a lot. Is there going to be a chapter 2?
