Finished the game, missed the Krom Rune

First of all, amazing game, I will roam around and try ro perfect my gear further, but where is the damn Krom Rune, I tried farming Tunnels, Torture Chambers, Rat Cave, Fairie Realm and Crypt. Either I'm incredibly unlucky or stupid xD. I have a safety save before I cannot access the Fairie Realm and Tower anymore. Any tips are appreciated, thanks.

The creature you're looking for can be found in the attic... at least according to Tobi from Edguy ;-)

Being a metalhead in my mid thirties, that helps a lot xD. I go and farm those creatures of the night. Thank you, and on a side note, i was a little bit dissapointed to not talk to the great magician again, after the beast on the top floor relocated. Trying to keep it as spoiler free as possible. Yeah, you're right. The story needs more love at that point... will put it on my ToDo list.
