Red Border Items

Loving the hell out of this game. Just saying. May even work up a small guide for beginners, as it took me a LONG time to catch on to some things.

Last night I finally cleared the Lord, and received the red-bordered shrunken head item that teleports you back to "Dad." I already had two keys with the red border, which I carefully stored in my box, not on my person. I didn't want to risk losing them to death.

Wouldn't you know, I got low on health, used the teleport to get back home, didn't notice I had a poison debuff on me, and died standing in the starting area. No more teleport charm, no vault key (separate from regular keys), etc.

I tried talking to the little imp who gave it to me, but no luck. Is there a way to replace it, or am I just out of luck? Or did I just imagine that the red border would make them impervious (like equipping gear)? Or, even worse, did I not notice the charm was able to be equipped?

Hello,

you are out of luck. The only items that will last when you die (apart from equipped ones), are the runeboards.
